“Bring MCS back to life!! Negotiate with Amtrak to add a second Detroit stop to their route. Build a direct high-speed route to Chicago, and also build a route to Grand Rapids... thus connecting the regions 3 largest cities. Talk to Dan Gilbert, owner of Quicken Loans!! He is doing so much to try and revitalize and pump life into the City, he probably would be on board to get something done. I was raised in Detroit till my teens and now live on the West side of our State. I visit often for sporting events, auto shows, etc. and I love the City! Detroit still has so much to offer...and if Gilb...”

“I hate to see such a beautiful building sit and rot with so many young and old exciting people in the metro detroit area wishing we could see the day when this magnificent structure can come back to life. It should be used to bring big name brand merchants such as nordstroms, macys, saks and neiman marcus. make it rival somereset mall. include a hotel in the building. the exterior property could be converted into a fountain walk type facility with resteraunts bars stores etc. check out fountain walk in novi to see what im talking about. ”

“It seems a shame that the station has fallen into disrepair. I would love to see this elegant station restored into a working train station again, and if not that, then a grand event hall for elegant parties.”

“I always used to dream of winning some mad jackpot and using the money to re-open MCS as a mixed use space of retail, galleries and food on the lower levels with living space (loft-style rentals and condos) on the upper levels. And, to be mindful of the tracks, have dinner cars and gambling cars that go out on the rails. ”

“I'm writting from Poland, Europe, maybe it will be a transportation/railroad museum? I like this building very much, I don't know why, but I like it. Idea with normal train station is also interesting, maybe with weekend historical trains?”

“If you could get someone to write an addictive drama set there, fans would emerge and defend it and possibly help to fund its renovation. Think Downton Abbey, but focusing on the station workers and, I don't know, the gentry that moves through the station, or railroad bigwigs? You even have the same timeframe. People would lap it up, and become so fond of the place they'd never let anything bad happen to it. Can you imagine if those who own Highclere Castle suddenly had to get rid of it or couldn't keep it up anymore? There would be an outcry. Someone would step in. That's what you want wit...”
