“Detroit has some of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen, the train station being my most favorite. I think that it is important for people to know the great history behind those buildings. The station should be re opened into a working station (perhaps for Amtrak) and as a historical building/museum. The place is huge and could be put to so much use and create jobs. Detroit needs to be as it once was, full of life and fun. If people work together we can help to achieve this dream.”

“In addition to the "high speed railway" i keep hearing about a night life venue and even a theater would be awesome. The more things to make our city a "happening" place the better it is for the local economy. In the surrounding grounds a outdoor international style mall would be a grate touch.”

“haven't looked through what others have posted but i think it's necessary for a portion of the station to remain public space where all can have access. some sort of museum/gallery/meeting/community space would be excellent. with the rest of the building it'd be great to see creative startups/art studios/nonprofits/community development corporations. there needs to be an educational component about WHY this glorious landmark was able to become abandoned (racism, deindustrialization following capitalism, celebration/subsidy of automobile focused-life, etc.). it'd be sad/frustrating to see it...”

“Maybe turn the lower levels into a Train terminal!,try to get Amtrak as interested as possible!,and put Restarants and shops in the waiting room such as Max & Ermas,Olive Garden,DQ,Quiznos,etc.maybe turn the mezzenaine into a small convention center.also maybe rebuild the train shed and use the 2 tracks closest to the building for Amtrak trains to park and use the other tracks for a small Railroad Museum. Also maybe use the 2nd floor for a memorialbialia museum and use all the other floors for a hotel and use the very top level for an observation floor and restarant and turn the right side ...”
